Hi there,
recently I bought myself a new (main) monitor BenQ XL2411Z. I'm using another monitor (a Philips) as my second screen.
Now the thing that's been happening is that every time my BenQ goes to sleep or I press the power off button on the monitor, the device is not seen in Windows anymore, which results to all windows and taskbar jumping to my second screen. And when I turn my BenQ back on or wake it from sleep, the windows recognizes it (as a main monitor) and everything from my second screen is put back to my BenQ monitor.
This is really frustrating as I want to keep some of my windows and my taskbar permanently on my second screen...
At first I thought this was a Windows issue (there's some threads about it already) but this wasn't happening with my old main monitor, which was a Philips as well. Neither does it happen with my second screen, just my BenQ. When I turn off my Philips I can still see it in Windows. In addition to that, sometimes my BenQ loses it's ICC color profile..
I have drivers installed, GPU drivers updated to latest version. Using a DVI cable for both monitors.
Does anyone know what can be done here?
