Some background information first.
I built a computer awhile back and ever since being built it had been wracked with problems. It used to always display the bluescreen after a few games of league or the monitor would randomly display no input. After running a few tests and asking around I determined that the fault most likely lay with the GPU so I bought a new one and replaced it. After I had replaced it I decided to stress test the computer and everything was fine!! The computer ran smoothly without crashing, I thought I had solved all my problems.

Now onto the problem.
I haven't used the computer for awhile, because I was away from home most of the time, and when i got back i decided to turn it back on and play some video games. I play some league and it crashes, the monitor shows no input again. I restart the computer and decide to try and run furmark, but when I press the burn in test the monitor just displays no input...every single time. I thought it was a monitor problem so I changed a monitor and tried to run the test again, but it still didn't work...so I thought maybe it was the GPU again. I open up the case reseat my gpu, installed the latest drivers but it still doesn't work and the monitor still keeps displaying no input when I run the test...and to add to my troubles the bluescreen has returned...is this a GPU problem? or is there something else that's potentially broken?

I know this is a bit of a read but...plz help

tldr: computer had bluescreen before changed GPU worked fine. Leave for awhile, return to turn computer on monitor problem and bluescreen comes back...send help

Comp:
Motherboard: Gigabyte GA-990FXA-UD7
GPU: Nvidia GeForce GTX 760
CPU: AMD Phenom(tm) II X6
RAM: Ripjaw
Battery: Corsair GS800

update: doesn't have to be gaming...the monitor will display no input even when I'm not running furmark or gaming (just happened)

basically as soon as any load is put on the GPU, it crashes

this usually means a GPU or PSU problem

things to check first:
check bios version and update to latest version
Perform a complete DDU driver wipe and then re-install latest version
check CPU & GPU idle temps with something like hwinfo
disconnect everything from the PSU, clear cmos, make sure there isn't a build up of dust in pcie slot, reconnect everything back to the PSU

if there was no improvement after that, either your GPU is failing, or not getting enough power from the PSU under load

do you have access to another PC that you could try the GPU in?

Sorry I'm not well versed in this stuff.
How do you do a bios update?
What are normal cpu and gpu idle temperatures?
I don't have another PC that I could try the GPU in

Also when you say to clear CMOS do you mean to reset it? Like take the round battery thing out? If so I did that yesterday

Which DDu driver wipe do you recommend I use? Also Geforce has an application for drivers. Do I just use that to redownload? Or should I go to their website and search for the latest drives

your mobo manual is available from here:
https://www.gigabyte.com/Motherboard/GA-990FXA-UD7-rev-1x#support-manual

it explains how to update the bios from page 68 onwards

bios updates are available from here:
https://www.gigabyte.com/Motherboard/GA-990FXA-UD7-rev-1x#support-dl

DDU is available from here:
http://www.guru3d.com/files-details/display-driver-uninstaller-download.html

As far as which nvidia drivers, just go here and get the latest one for your GPU:
http://www.nvidia.com/Download/index.aspx

and yes, taking the battery out of the motherboard is the cmos reset

So I did all that and tried to run furmark and the monitor showed no input again...how do I know if it's the PSU or the GPU?

No I do not have access to another PC.

I'm beginning to suspect that it might be a PSU problem.

There's another problem that I've had with my computer that I didn't mention earlier, because I thought that it was irrelevant. Whenever I hit the on button on the case the computer doesn't fully boot up. You hear the fans whirring but nothing shows on the monitor. I have to manually reach behind the case to flick the switch off and on. When I do this I hear another set of fans turning on which I think is the GPU's fan. Maybe I'll try replacing the PSU...idk
