Question monitor doesn't auto awaken

I have a new system with Asus H110M-E/M.2 MB with integrated Intel graphics. My Asus monitor wouuld auto awaken from sleep when it was connected to the Intel vga output but when I installed a GTX 1060 card and connected with HDMI it no longer will awaken when the computer comes out of sleep. I can tap the settings button on the monitor and it awakens, recognizing the HDMI as input source.
Any ideas?

Please post entire system spec including PSU make and model.

Do you have latest drivers installed?

You could change your windows power settings to high performance if not done so already - confirming that it changes Link State management to Off.

Is it possible your PC is turning off your mouse and keyboard when it goes into sleep?
