Monitor doesn't boot with GPU plugged in.

Hi, I put together a new build (first build) and when I turn on the pc there is no signal to the monitor when the gpu is plugged in. The monitor is quite old and doesn't have an hdmi port, so I am plugging it in using VGA via the mobo.

When I unplug the gpu, the monitor works fine and I can use the bios. In the bios I disabled on board graphics and enabled pcie. But still nothing. Any suggestions?

if you are using the gpu, the monitor have to plug in to it.

Well, the monitor has to be connected to the graphics card, because when there is a dedicated video card, the on-board graphics are disabled.

Now I've run into another problem. Now that I've disabled the onboard graphics, I can't get the monitor working. This is so annoying. What do I do now?

put the gpu in, and connect the monitor to it.

Or you would have to reset the cmos by taking the cmos battery out for about 5 min, remember to unplug the computer power first.

Just simply plug in the monitor into the graphics card.
