i have an old monitor that i used to use for a long time and when i got my first laptop it didn't have a DVI Port so i was forced to either buy an adapter or a new monitor, i went with the adapter but i noticed that every time i restarted my PC, it would show "No Signal", so every time i want it to display a picture i would have to unplug the HDMI cable from the adapter and plug it back it and it works, its a really strange thing and i was wondering if there is any way to fix this?

Probably not. If there is, it will be an option in the BIOS to set that output as the default display output, but often the BIOS options in laptops are extremely limited and it is probably trying to default to the built in display, but can't, because the connected display is overriding that possibility.

Check the BIOS for the related display priority settings and if there is nothing there, then you're probably stuck doing it just exactly how you've been doing it already.
