Monitor Error: No Signal

i have a EVGA 970 Geforce sueprclocked, Sabertooth Mark1 z97 motherboard, nd im trying to hook up my monitor to my comp. When i turn it on, it says "no signal." i connected my 2 cords form the monitor to my graphics card, on the blue one i used my adapter, and the white one fit in fine. Plz help :c

You connected two cables from the monitor to your GPU? Why, you need only one cable per monitor. Use either the DVI (white) or VGA (blue).

As for the initial concern, are you certain that you've got your GPU in the correct PCI-E slot?

Have you plugged in the two PCI-E power cables from the PSU into the GPU?

If your answer to both of those questions is yes, then try building up your PC outside of the case to eliminate a short circuit.

If you don't know what I mean, click on the link in my signature, and then make your way to the breadboarding guide toward the end of the troubleshooting checklist.

It would hurt to work through the list either, as the troubleshooting checklist has the most common areas of concern/failure.

I didn't mean i connected 2 cords, i only connected the DVI into my GPU, and when that didnt work i tried disconnecting my GPU from my mobo and used a hdmi cable from my monitor to my Motherboard and it didn't work. http://pcpartpicker.com/p/H4JQMp
^ my build. Do you know if the RAM i have is compatable with my motherboard? Also, on my SABERTOOTH mark 1 z97,
the red led is lighting up, and that is the MEMOK button, meaning something is wrong. I tried holding that down until it started blinking, and the signal still did not come on. Thank you for your time

The kit you bought is not on the QVL for that mobo.
