Monitor fell, compression marks

Uh, yeah, my sister was messing around in my room, my monitor fell, she caught it... now there are compression marks with deep blacks, but I think I can only see it when its off.... uhm, im wondering if there is anything I can do about it (for now its not annoying me but tomorrow it probably will...)

hehe, alright... is there any place I can read up on exactly what went wrong, kind of interests me.

I mean like a video or something on how lcds are made?
