I have two ASUS VG17AQ monitors both on Display Port cables to a 3080 Strix. I have been having an issue where one monitor will randomly go black for a moment then come back.
This occurred many months ago and consistently with a 1080 and different DP cables. I got a new GPU and was still having the issue so I got new DP cables made sure they were on that official website for DP and seemed like they would be good. The day leading up to this my main monitor would almost not even be usable as it flashed so frequently. New cables went in and it all ceased for about 2 weeks (Also used the 1080 again during this time). However, one of the monitors did it briefly again today. I have made sure all connections are secure.
I'm really unsure what it could be and mostly just praying it doesnt continue. Any ideas? Returning the monitors is not an option so if it's them I'm screwed. They are both overclocked to 165hz, dunno if that could cause it.
