A few weeks ago my HD 7950 was crashing and i assumed it was a temperature problem since it would reach 81 degrees Celsius, my screen would go black and force me to restart. this would happen every 30 minutes or so after launching a game. I recently purchased a GTX 770 and it has been working perfectly fine for the past 2 weeks but yesterday, just after loading a youtube video, my screen cut off and showed Pink, Green and white lines moving. i restarted and thought nothing of it, but just today, after loading a youtube video again. it changed to a completely white screen that would flash purple every few seconds. My graphics card runs around 35 degrees idle and 50-60 100% load. I have a corsair 800W power supply that iv only had for just over a year. so i dont see how it could be that. Im thinking it could be my 4 year old Packard bell 1366x768 monitor that came with my original Packard bell Imedia PC.
I was wondering if anyone else who has experienced this can help me out?

Specs:
GPU: ASUS GTX 770 DIRECT CU II
CPU: I7 4770K @ 3.50 GHz
RAM: 8GB
OS: Windows 7 Home Premium

i experienced this problem before and i ignored it for so long my monitor actually start sounding like a ticking time bomb and i had to go and replace it.. i was told that my old faulty card that i was using before was sending alot of bad signal and that total my monitor so you should get your monitor replaced as soon as you can because it is possible can cause some serious problems to your computer..

best bet would be to borrow a monitor from a friend or use hdmi to a tv or something like that.. or you can buy a vga to rca converter box for likr $5 and send it to a standard tv until christmas.. remeber to choose the answer so i can get my score up on the forum

The next time it occurs can you get a picture of it? I would like to see. I'm currently compiling a list of people having this issue. If your description fits what I'm thinking of, then you might be the first person I've seen to experience this issue with an Nvidia GPU.
