Monitor flickering black, but the monitor works fine. How do I fix this?

So I am a first time PC builder and when I try to boot up my PC, my monitor starts flickering black, on and off again. I have tried the monitor on a different PC, and then it works fine. I also tried the cables on the TV and on another PC, and they also work fine, so I must have done something wrong. I am using an i5-6600K, ASrock z170 Pro4s motherboard, EVGA 650W 80+ Gold PSU, Samsung 850 EVO 250GB SSD, and CM Hyper 212 cooler. The monitor is an Asus VC279.
I have no graphics card yet as I am waiting for the GTX1070 aftermarket designs.
What could I try to fix this?

In the bios, make sure the graphics card to initialize first is set to PCIE, PEG, or Add in card
