Monitor flickering on 2 different monitors, but works fine on others

Hi there, i got my son a Nvidia Quadro NVS 295 for his PC. Before using the quadro card, the monitor worked fine using the onboard DVI. When I plug into the quadro, all I get is inconsistant flickering of the display, even during boot up. The bizarre thing is that it worked fine on another monitor that I tried and my TV also worked no worries. But it did the exact same thing (flickering etc) on different monitor. Any Ideas why my sons monitor (and this other monitor) aren't playing ball?

Solved it, turns out I just needed a DVI/displayport adapter instead of a HDMI/displayport adapter
