Question Monitor flickers occasionally with UPS ?

Hello

I got a brand new APC SMV 1500VA UPS which has 1K watt capacity, it's a line-interactive model with Pure sine wave.

Sometimes when I play demanding games my monitor flickers for a second, goes black screen, and returns back to normal. My rig is consuming around 550-650 watt so there's plenty of room given the UPS capacity. UPS load is around 20-28% during heavy load and I'm not seeing any line fluctuations and any reason for the UPS to behave in such a manner. Before getting the UPS my whole rig was plugged in a normal power strip and I had no issues whatsoever.

My specs are: i5-12600k, RTX 3070 & PSU Seasonic GX-850 watt.
Monitor is LG 24GN650-B it's a 1080p display.

Does anybody knows what's the issue is? Help is greatly appreciated.

Does it make a difference if the monitor power is plugged directly into the wall, to the ups battery backup outlet, or to the ups non backup outlet?

My UPS doesn't have non-designated back up outlets or surge only outlets, as far as I know all of them are battery backed up as well as surged protected outlets. The flickering issue doesn't always occur it's more random and haphazard. Sometimes I play normally without any flickering, other times flickering can occur as many as 3 to 4 times within 40 mins or 1-2 times within an hour. I'm pretty sure the problem isn't monitor related since before getting the UPS it was functioning normally in a power strip.

I've tried to simulate power outage and ran my PC on UPS battery while playing heavy games and I didn't experience any issue, it only occurs when my UPS is connected to AC power under normal conditions.
