Specs:
AMD FX 8350 4.3hz Overclocked
R9 380 Nitro 4GB Overclocked
16gb 1600hz ram
Monitor: AOC g2460PF 144hz (Freesync)

So my monitor tends to flicker with the brightness whenever i get fps drops in GTA 5. Usually i play with 60-70 fps constantly but when i get into a multiplayer race, i get around 50-60.

And when it drops from 60-50, the monitor starts flickering the brightness. Like crazy. I get a f****** headache.

I have tried:
dissabling freesync
tried all the refresh rates
tried capping the fps ingame
tried with and without vsync

Soo if you guys have any clue on how to fix this leave a comment pliz :/

Solution
I found this video , https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xeMC8DGL1Dk , you both have the same card so it might be a very specific graphical problem in this game but its not from your monitor because if you force the freesync off then the monitor will always work at 144hz no mater the fps you are getting , so if it was the monitor you would get flickering from desktop...

No it didnt. Ive tried playing with both vsync and freesync deactivated, and it only happens in GTA 5.
