So about a year ago, I decides to build myself a PC and got it to work eventually. But problems started arising when playing games sometimes it would run really slow with frames dropping from 60 fps to 15 fps and it would sometimes lose power to the monitor. I don't really know what's causing this to happen as it only happens when playing. Thanks in advance for anyone who can help.

Solution
Get in touch with EVGA support.

The GPU should still be under warranty if you only got it a year ago and EVGA have a good reputation with their warranty service.
as far as FPS drops, run either hwinfo or msi afterburner while gaming and check your CPU/GPU temps & usage when the frame drops happen

as for the monitor, is it actually turning off, or is it still on but just not getting a signal from the GPU?

I use Open Hardware Monitor and when running Batman Arkham Knight, the GPU Core temperature usually goes up to around 95 degrees Celsius. I'm guessing other games run around the same temp. As for the monitor, it's not getting signals from the graphics card. I did forget to note that I am using Display Port atm, but it also happens when using HDMI too so I don't think it's the cables fault. I don't know what's going on anymore I've been dealing with it for a year now and don't know what to do to fix it.

Yeah. As far as I can tell there's only one fan on it and it's spinning just fine. Is that just too high a degree?

It’s been happening for a year now. I have thought about over heating but I don’t know why it would overheat. I have a fan at the top and a fan running at the front bottom plus the radiator fan that comes with the gpu. I figured that would be more than enough airflow. The only thing I haven’t tried is monitoring the gpu fans overtime when playing a game. I think the idle time temp was around 66 degrees C but I might have to double check on that.

P.S. Sorry about that weird downvote, I logged on the site through my phone and it got janky. I think I fixed it though.

nvm about that previous number. Right, now at idle, it's around 28 degrees C. I mounted the radiator above the gpu in the back of the case taking out air.

No, nothing is overclocked. It feels random mostly because I’ve been gaming fine mostly for now.

Well, it happened again tonight. I turned it on, browsed the internet for a bit and decided to play Tera. The temperature value on open hardware monitor pretty much was @ 90 to 95 Celsius while the max was 97. I think it might actually be overheating because right now it's stuck at 70 and not going down. I'm gonna check if it's the gpu fan or the radiator fan that's not working. I don't know why or what's causing it to be at such a high temperature right now.

Unfortunately I bought it off of Newegg and they only do a 30 return policy on items so I can't return it now.
