I have the Acer 27" IPS K272HUL monitor. It is 1440P. Should I return it for a 4K monitor? Will my 7700K + 1080ti 11GB card handle 4K gaming? Or should I stick with this 1440P monitor?

I love microcenter. I live near one and that is where I get a lot of my computer stuff. But their monitor prices are not as good as their CPU prices.

Here is a 4k monitor that is in your price range, but it does not have gsync. Gsync is really nice with 60hz or less.

Here is one with gsync, but it is expensive, but very nice.

What's your budget? What kinda games do you like? If you like quick twitch competitive first person shooters, then a 1440p/144hz panel may be a better choice. But if you like more RPG games, then 4k/60hz is really nice as well.

I have a 4k/60hz panel and a 1080ti and gaming on it is a dream. Some people like the higher refresh rate than 60hz, and for that I use another monitor.

Pending your budget, ultrawide is a great option. It has more pixels than a 16:9 panel and still has a 100hz refresh. The extra real estate on the screen really makes for an immersive gaming experience. An the 1440p resolution is a good pixel density where you can have 3 or 4 webpages open at once and see them all at the same time. But ultrawides are expensive, but hey are nice. This AOC checks all the right boxes and is a good bit cheaper than the Asus or Acer variant.

Well... The most demanding non-vr game that I play right now is Rim World. I was really into Skyrim about a year ago tho. My first concern is picture quality. BTW; I shop at Micro Center. So what should I get from there? I'll be returning this 1440P 60hz monitor to there so it'd be nice to make it all one trip.
I'd like to stay around 500 dollars.
