i got a gtx 670 a while ago but i am still using an old 1440x900 monitor with it, it is time for an upgrade.
i have been rather impressed with asus' newer monitors, i got one for my grandparents a few months ago [model ml228h] this model unfortunately is not being manufactured any more or it would be my first choice. need a new monitor before borderlands 2 comes out 😀
price: around $150
res: 1920x1080 [obviously]
size: 21.5"-24" @60-120hz
built in speakers: yes, but not a deal breaker
primary uses: gaming, movies, general tasks in that order
graphics card: gtx 670
TN vs IPS: doesnt seem like IPS is in my budget [besides a few e-IPS monitors] but i would like one if possible, i am perfectly content with only getting a TN
connectors: dvi and hdmi or 2 hdmi. vga is a dying format so i dont care about it
response time: seems to be the general assumption that 2-5ms is best
brand: i like asus monitors, i am using one right now i have been very pleased with it
other: ideally i would like an LED monitor, they are thinner lighter and easier to transport to LAN parties. i like asus' VS series monitors, they are an attractive, thin, and have good display quality. i have also been thinking about the playstation 3d display, it is 24", 240hz, 3d [dont know if thatll work with nvidia 3d], with descent speakers and 2 hdmi. gamestop has it for $200 right now
