Monitor for Asus GTX 1070 strix OC

So will my Asus GTX 1070 strix OC and Intel I5 7600k be able to run a 1440p 144hz monitor?Or should i go with 1080p 144hz. I would be playing it FPS and RPGs on it. I dont mind sacrificing some frames for looks. Recommend me some monitors too.

7600k/1070 can achieve 144hz/1440p in most games, however you cannot expect ultra settings. In some games it might even struggle at medium, specially sandbox games where input per frame would be higher. Sweet spot would be 1080p/144hz.
