Thanks for all the advice so far!

My budget is under $300. But I wouldn't be able to purchase it for another couple months. How will the actual display change if I decide to upgrade? Will the image just look cleaner? Will I just get higher FPS (less glitchy)?

a 60Hz monitor can only display up to 60 frames per second, and a 1070 can display way more then 60 fps on a 1080p monitor on ultra on basically any game, so upgrading your monitor to a 144hz monitor would be great which would allow your monitor to display up to 144 frames per second (helping a lot in fps games like csgo) I wouldn't recommend a 1440p monitor on your budget, they are very spendy especially for a 1440p 144hz monitor. I'd recommend something like this http://a.co/4h8vnXA But what esco_sid said is true a 1070 is overkill for 1080p but like I said 1440p monitors are spendy... I love the monitor I linked you, I have a 1070 and This monitor just works out with it really well.

If you are waiting few more months your options for monitor will change after CES 2017 will introduce a bunch of new ones so id recommend choosing it then.

Does the actual size of the monitor make a difference when purchasing as far as actual clarity is concerned? Also - how do you guys feel about curved monitors?
