Hello all,

I've got the following rig:

CPU : Intel Core i7-7700K @ 4.9 (OCed with liquid cooling)
MotherBoard: Gigabyte Z270X-Ultra Gaming
RAM: HyperX Fury 16 gb ( DDR4/2400mhz ) w/Heat Spreader
Graphics Card: MSI GeForce(R) GTX 1080 Ti 11GB
CPU Cooler : Cooler Master Seidon 240V High Performance Liquid Cooling system
Power Supply: Corsair 750 Watts CX750

And I own 2x 24" 60hz asus monitors. I wanted to upgrade one of them to have a better experience in gaming (graphics framerate) and watching movies with the wife.

I was thinking of going for a 28" 4k monitor but most people advise against it as not many new games will be playable at full 60fps if supported. I want to be wowed by my games and watch HD movies and not struggle.

My max price would be 350£, so no fancy 34" or super expensive screens.

Could you guys please help me out in advising what's the best monitor I could get?

Thanks!

Solution
24" is ideal for 1080p, 1440p should be a bit bigger, like 28-32" and 4k would be good around 40+"
4k is extremely hard to drive, 1440p is much easier (though getting anywhere near 165fps at 1440p is kinda expensive)

My idea was either a 4k 28" for Destiny 2 on PC and incoming games or a 24" 1440p with g-sync to 165hz. I'm more weighing on a game looking amazing, but I'm afraid that the 4k might bottleneck performance.
