I have a great 1080p ASUS monitor that is 60hz 1ms IPS. I love it, but I feel like it is holding back what my 980ti can actually do. One of my friends would love to buy this current monitor off of me, and I am in the market for a very nice monitor that I can play games and get work done on.

I play gta5, bf4, etc. Mainly AAA games and the like.

I need suggestions as I have looked all over and most of the decent ones (that have good response times are TN panel :( )

As of now, I would like to spend no more than like 700 bucks.

Never heard of that company... I'm hesitant to buy. Also, the 980ti is not powerful enough to run 4k at super great fps :(

Great monitor in nearly every way except that it is TN. I've used a TN before an I really don't like the colors :(

I've also heard some bad stuff about quality control believe it or not

Negative. A monitor can hold back a person by having high input lag, slow pixel transition times or bad overshoot streaking, but it does nothing to affect the performance of a GPU. On the other hand, if you have lets say a 144Hz monitor, but a GPU so slow and crappy that it can't come anywhere 100+FPS, then you'll see that in the form of terrible motion reproduction more often than not.

I just bought 2 980 ti, I plan on getting the Republic of Gamers Asus one that runs on 2k, 144hz, 1ms, all the good stuff. And that monitor just went from 700 to the 600 range, so theres a good option. I haven't found any monitor that does what it can, however I did consider the 4k (red) Acer monitor, however I don't believe it has gsync like the Asus mentioned, and your limited to 60 fps - that one is like 500.

The Acer Predator that I mentioned does the same things, but it's slightly slower being an IPS panel instead of a TN panel. I'd say that for most people, the superior color accuracy, contrast and viewing angles would be more desirable over the pure speed of the ROG Swift.

Are those even in stores? I'm trying to find it for sale but can only find it in the Acer website, they look neat tho. I might consider it now and debate on it, but the only thing I see are from the Acer XB line that competes with the ROG from retail websites?
