144hz monitors if you play competitive fps gaming. Other than that, get a IPS panel if you like to play only role playing games. IPS panels gives you that orgasmic visual experience.

I personally love my 144hz monitor but they do lean towards the more expensive end at around $300 to $400 for a mid priced option in Australia. You really should have allocated more money towards your monitor and gone with a 270x or 280x or even a 960 which can play any game at 1080p.

I was originally going to purchase the Acer 27" K272HL monitor but wanted to see if there was anything better (even if slightly more expensive than $249).
