It really depends on what gamut the photo editing is intended for. If its sRGB, then it covers 100% of the gamut. If its for Adobe RGB, then its only 78% of the gamut. You would typically want to go with Adobe RGB since its a larger gamut and will cover...

You would typically want to go with Adobe RGB since its a larger gamut and will cover sRGB. If I was going for a ViewSonic, I would go with the 2785-4K which covers is 99% of the AdobeRGB gamut. IT is more expensive though... $872 on Amazon.
I too am looking for a good photo editing monitor. Would prefer a 32", but would settle for a 27".
