Monitor freezes while playing games at high fps

I currently have
144hz 1080p monitor
Gtx 1080
i7 7700k
16gb of ram

I have a slight problem where games running above 100fps will freeze out of no where while my FPS counter doesn't drop a single frame. While playing games like Black ops 4 and rocket league it can become a big problem. If anyone has had this problem and knows a way to fix it i will greatly appreciate it

Have you overclocked anything?
What make and model is your psu?

You can try running DDU to remove your gpu driver and then reinstall the latest driver. This will rule a currupt driver.

Can't remember my psu but i'm don't have any OC on atm
DDU didn't work either
