So I recently traded cases for my pc had a stock case and was ugly. After switching cases I turned my pc on and everything was fine except 1 thing, there was no visual output. I have tried with or without my gpu and tried in both of my motherboards and 2 different cpu’s. Is there any way this could be from the psu not giving enough power? I have a 300w psu that came stock and was never upgraded but always worked fine until the case switch. I have a GeForce Gtx 1050 ti not sure what cpu anymore as it’s an and and has a really long name, some kind of gigabyte board but I tried with a stock ms-7778 ver 1.0 board.
16 gb ddr3 ram. My gpu looks and seems to be fine but I’m receiving black screens whether im using on board graphics or not and still black screen. ANY IDEAS???????

that's an expensive way to identify the issue

you might try putting everything back in the original case and confirm monitor does work

one wild item you might try, clearing CMOS - i know it sounds crazy, but seasonic on their FAQ page recommend clearing CMOS when installing a new PSU and nothing fires up

2nd - list all your system's compontents, both the orginal components and what items were changed on the update
Yes I think that the power supply is too small, but as it worked before, lets leave that for now.

Does it work if you put it back into the old case?

Does it work if you have the motherboard on the bench (ie out of the case).

Are you seeing the cpu fan spin?

Are you seeing any motherboard lights?

Do you see any keyboard lights?

Have you plugged the CPU power in as well as the big ATX 24 pin.

Have you got your case switches connected properly?

Have you checked that RAM is seated properly?

Does your motherboard have onboard graphics (what CPU are you using)?

Have you tried taking everything out of the case and just running a basic system on the bench.
So one ram stick, motherboard, CPU and graphics sitting on a bench.

If you have been swapping CPU out of the motherboard (I assume that they are compatible), you might need to check for bent pins.

If that fails then you have to work to isolate the fault, one component at a time.

It may be easier and quicker to buy a new machine.

I changed motherboards to I could use a different cpu but I don’t see any pins bent so I’m going to buy a new power supply first and if it still doesn’t be work I will buy a new gpu.
