My monitor flickers red, green and blue when watching videos and playing games.

I've tried swapping HDMI cables and resetting my monitor settings. My monitor is a BenQ gw2270 monitor.

I've had the monitor for a little over a year and it has just recently started doing this issue. I'm also using an RX460 2GB graphics card.

Solution
Right click on desktop then screen resolution, then to advanced settings, go to monitor tab, now does it say Generic PnP monitor or?
And under that it should saying "Screen refresh rate" make sure its on 60Hz.

I would suggest you to reinstall drivers for your GPU.
Download DDU and your drivers for your GPU , dont download automatic, download by selecting your GPU model, and windows (Which you have).

For safe mode windows 10 use "Shift+restart" method->https://www.digitalcitizen.life/4-ways-boot-safe-mode-windows-10
Windows 7 force restart your PC and go to safe mode.

After unpacking DDU and running it as administrator, do clean+restart (If you had previously Nvidia GPU, do again safe mode and do it for nvidia).

After DDU has done it...

Just to ask, how do you know that your drivers are up to date?
