Okay so about 2 weeks ago i was playing gta 5 on my r7870 msi hawk edition gpu, it isnt ever overclocked or anything. I got into a really gpu intense situation where a hacker came and spawned about 50 jets then blew them all up simultaneously. My game proceeded to crash, about 10 seconds later my main monitor went to standby and the second one went black. I proceeded to restart my pc as i thought my gpu crashed but the second the drivers loaded and my fans on my gpu slowed down it did the same thing. I can run without a gpu on my mainboards display output.
My specs are :
i5 6600k @ 4.4ghz
16 gigs 2400mhz kingston hyper x
Asrock z170 gaming k4 motherboard
256gb silicon blue ssd i think as i removed the sticker for asthetics.
My psu is the thermaltake toughpower 650watt and i have both 6 pin connectors attached and other cards work in my system. I havent come across anything similar to my problem on any extensive searches so i thought i would post my own version and see what possible fixes there are as i wasnt planning on getting a new gpu till around july.
