Monitor goes black randomly for 1-2 seconds

I have a dell multi-client monitor (p4317q) connected to my customer built computer with an Nvidia GTX 1060 6gb gpu. As I am on the computer, using no certain application the monitor goes black and turns back on immediately. The power light on the monitor doesn't go off.

I have tried multiple display port cables, mini dp cables, hdmi, etc. Reinstalled gpu drivers. I have also tried the 3gb version of the gpu (before I upgraded) So I don't think the graphics card is the issue.

Not sure what else I can do but its driving me nuts!

Any help would be much appreciated!

It sounds typical of an "eco" mode being enabled.

I'd take a look through the settings options for the monitor and disable anything resembling an "eco" settings, and test that.

I tired all power saving options. Didn't seem the case because it comes back on instantly even when I don't touch the keyboard or mouse.
