I have several issues with my system, and i am suspecting they are related. at least two of them anyway.
First, the most obvious problem; sometimes my monitor goes super dim, except mouse cursor. so far as i can tell this happens because my system puts my monitor into power saving mode. but when i look at my advanced power options, i do not have an option to disable it. the ONLY power option i have for monitor is to adjust how long till it shuts down (desktop).
Second, sometimes my brightness flickers, far as i can tell this is occuring when freesync is active, but again, there SHOULD be an option to disable automatic brightness which MAY resolve this, but it also does not seem to exist.
The final issue seems to be some kind of frame time issue where even with fps reading at 300 (or capped at refresh rate) everything looks stuttery. i have become suspicious the last issue (the one that drives me stark raving mad) is also related to my missing power options.
i found some instructions for creating extra power plans, but no way to bring back the missing options that i have seen others have in there screenshots.
