Monitor goes out of range when i start game

hi all im new here, just found this site. hops somebody can help me. my monitor goes "out of range" when i start Left 4 dead 2, i can hear ingame voice but cant see anything. what should i do?

Seems your resolution is changing when starting the game. I would right click you game, go to compatibility tab and check "run in 640 x 480 screen resolution". If you can see the game after that go to your settings video and change your resolution from in there.

The default resolution for the game probably isn't supported by your monitor. to change it before launching the game right click the game, go to properties, set launch options, then type "-w 640 -h 480" without the quotes. IN STEAM

you go to steam, rightclick on your game, Properties, then set lunch Options, i tried this on Counter Strike Global Ofensive, i had -refresh 144, and i made -refresh 75, you should try maybe 60, the problem fixed at me, maybe you shoud try
