Monitor goes to sleep (New Motherboard)

CPU - I5 6100
GPU - STRIX ASUS 970
PSU - Corsair CW750
MOBO - Asrock P67 PRO3

The computer starts up normal however the gpu fans stop spinning and the monitor says going to sleep.

if it is going to sleep like a sleep state after several minutes then wake it up by moving the mouse, hitting a keyboard key, or a button on your tower.
