I recently purchased a Viewsonic Monitor, the VX2758-C-MH, and whenever I play games such as PUBG or CS GO, the monitor turns black for about two seconds. The power button remains blue when it is shut off though, this is very annoying when I am in a competitive game and the monitor turns off. The monitor worked fine for the first two days, then it started going off for about two seconds, then going right back as if nothing happened. I don't know if it because of my graphics card, Radeon RX 460, or maybe it is because i'm using two monitors, my second being a Samsung S24D300. If anyone could please assist me, that would be greatly appreciated.

Solution
really can't, as my monitor is now connected via DP, is different then the one i had that had that option (in menu),
and as im running Nv not amd card, they wont have the same menu.
ill see if i can find a friend running amd..

Using both monitors as left monitor and right monitor both display the game? I'd suggest trying different cables to ensure that isn't an issue.

No, Only my right monitor displays the game, which is my main monitor. The right monitor, the Viewsonic one I use for gaming shuts off for a few seconds, I have tried different cables.

Have you attempted to tweaking the display settings? Also, try going into device manager and uninstalling the display drivers for the monitor that is acting up. Let me know!

had the same on the viewsonci i used. its a setting i think on the display (maybe gpu) page that lets you change
from auto to something "fixed". dont remember what it said, look if you something showing AUTO and lets you change it to desktop/video.
change it to video, but try desktop as well (if video doesnt help).

sorry was long night ;-)
there should be an entry on the gpu (settings) page that lets you change the signal output going to the moni.
i dont use that moni anymore, and also different connection, so i cant find it anymore (on my pc).
you can usually get to the settings by right clicking on empty desktop and clicking on nv/amd gpu entry.

should be an entry regarding "display", and should only have 3 options to choose from: AUTO/DESKTOP (e.g. pc use)/VIDEO.
it should be on auto right now (and the reason you get those blackouts).

it needs to be set manually (to probably video, so it disregards any (short) periods of blank/no signal info coming from the card.

you need the control center from whoever makes the gpu, no matter what brand (amd in your case) they will have something installed that lets you change settings outside windows options.

dl the latest amd gpu driver from guru3d, and the ddu as well.
uninstall all gpu related driver/software (if any) and reboot into safe mode,
run ddu (check settings to remove all monis etc) and shutdown.
boot and install gpu software.

yeah, I have no idea what you mean. I'm sorry I took so long to respond, as it stopped happening, but now its happening again, I did nothing to fix it so, im confused. So if you could help, that'd be great, and if you could be more specific that would also be very appreciated.

Solution
if u can, take screenshots of the display and the video pages in amd control center, incl the one showing info about monis.
i checked all computers at work, even the ones we sell all come with Nv cards,
and the unit with an amd cpu does not have a dedicated card.

maybe check with someone in a local shop (microcenter/best buy etc) and see if they have someone that knows where to chsnge the setting..
