Monitor/GPU DVI Compatibility

So on my GPU (GTX 970) there is a DVI-I port and a DVI-D port. I am wanting a dual monitor setup but the monitors have just a DVI port. Can I use the DVI cables from there ports to the monitors and have them work the same and have good resolution?

EDIT: On GPU the DVI ports are dual link.

They will work the same. No issues on resolution either.
