Monitor - Graphics Card Compatibility

I have a NEC Multisync 70 and a Dell D1728-LS monitors on which I can get 32bit colour at 1280x1024 with a Geforce2MX 32MB card. I also have a voodoo3 16MB card which gives me 32bit coloru and 1280x1024 res with the NEC monitor but cannot give me the 1280x1024 res with the DELL monitor. What ups here? I am thinking the Dell is a crappy monitor(lack of refresh rate) or is it the Voodoo card ?

It's the refresh rate. Your DELL is not properly being detected to change it.
