[SOLVED] Monitor handshake issue

Hi,

I have been seeing an infrequent, though still annoying issue. When playing a game, sometimes my monitor seems to try re-establishing the connection handshake and my screen goes blank for a couple seconds before reverting back to the game. It's kind of similar, I guess, to the handshake issue known in the PS4 pro.

I'm currently running a 6800k/1070/16GB. The handshake issue is occurring only on my Nixeus Edg 27 (Displayport), while my other two 1080p (HDMI) monitors are fine.

It's not a constant issue, and certainly doesn't happen every day, but it is annoying. Was wondering if anyone has experience of this?

Any help would be really welcome

Try another Displayport cable (or HDMI)

It you don't connect the other two monitors, do you stll have this problem?

I checked this out. Disconnecting one of the monitors seems to resolve the issue. I think the issue must be that the 1070 is just not capable of powering another two monitors while running a game. I don't think it's a CPU limitation issue.

I'd say that you could be right. But there's no gurantees for anything in life.
