Monitor has lit black screen but doesn't boot

My computer starts up, my monitor has a display it starts up saying "gigabyte" and then turns to black and nothing happens. This is NOT a no signal problem, it has signal but ends up with a black screen, and I can get into the bios if needed. Also it has the same problem on a different monitor.

Need to list full system specs, including power supply brand and model. Did you try another video card? Another port?

You said the computer starts up, but I assume you mean only to the point the screen goes black and it doesn't boot past that point?

I would suggest clearing the motherboard CMOS and seeing if that helps (don't do this if you are using a BIOS update to support your CPU). To clear it, either the motherboard will have a CMOS clear/reset button, or you need to take the motherboard battery out for a few minutes.

My power supply is an ATX-500B I tried placing in a 1050ti and it didn't work so I removed it and now it just loads onto a black screen, yeah.
Also I've tried clearing the CMOS and it doesn't work still.
