Monitor has no signal from new MOBO

This kind of shit really makes me dislike upgrading my PC. One thing after another goes wrong.

I recently upgraded to an MSI Z170A Gaming M5 motherboard with DDR4 RAM. I also purchased an I5 6600 with a Gtx 980ti. I got everything hooked up, but my monitors just say no signal whenever I turn on my PC. I tried the VGA/DVI ports on both the card and the board, I tried booting it without Ram, making sure my CPU is correctly socketed, booting it without the card, reseting BIOS by taking out my motherboard battery, switching PCIE slots, and even reapplying thermal paste.

My computer doesn't even beep when I turn it on, but I don't think it ever has. My motherboard lights up and my graphics card is fine. My CPU is literally brand new so I doubt that's the problem. Can someone please help? I've been trying to figure this out since 3pm. It's now 1am! 🙁

I think I'm just going to give up. I'm completely stumped. I've looked for solutions and have been working at this for hours now. I'm tempted to just throw it all away. That's depressed I am now. I pretty much have a 700$ paper weight.. $700 down the drain..wow

I would check cpu for bent pins.

If the CPU looks fine and firmly seated. I´d place the motherboard on a piece of non-conductive material outside the cabinet.
Just plug monitor, keyboard and mouse with 1 stick of ram and see it it works, while trying 1 time per ram slot.

Short of that, I´d suspekt a faulthy motherboard.

Alright, I will try this

yes its an error-code. I am not sure if I recall right, but I think it´s stuck on CPU.

update:

Debug Code D0 = late cpu initialization.
So check cpu for bent pins or thermal paste that may have run into the socket.

Also check if you have a toggle switch on the board called the "LN2 Mode Switch" or something similar, if you have - turn it off - if its a jumper, refer to manual to turn it off.

Well I have been having no luck. I know it's not the MOBO because things like the CPU fans work when I plug it into it. And the debug code is 00, not D0 🙁. The MOBO and the CPU are literally brand new. The socket itself does not have any thermal paste whatsoever. I tried flashing my bios via usb, but the MOBO isn't even detecting my keyboard, mouse, or anything. This is so frustrating.

I don´t there there is a debug code labelled 00 on your board. It´s likely to be DO, but looks similar.

Did you try to check if you have a toggle switch on the board called the "LN2 Mode Switch" or something similar, if you have - turn it off - if its a jumper, refer to manual to turn it off.

Yeah it's, the 00 post debug LED number. And this specific MOBO doesn't seem to have an LN2 mode switch. Doesn't even have MOBO jumpers either! Just the JBAT pins. I think I'll have to buy jumpers. Ugh.
