I'm having horrible color blending/gradient issues on my Asus ROG monitor. (Model pg2788qr) This was a $600+ monitor which is hooked up to a 1080ti, i7 based custom gaming system. Almost anything that isn't a game (nextflix, youtube, Blu Ray's) all look extremely poor when it comes to the color gradients. It's blocky and blotchy, even still images suffer, especially grays and blacks. Yet, when I'm running something like Doom at 165 fps it looks pretty damn good. Is it because this is a gaming monitor and simply is designed to do that well? The issue is only on the monitor as well. I have a basic LG 1080p TV that everything looks fine on. There was a lot of quality assurance issues with this monitor. A lot of people gave rave reviews for this item but the few who gave poor reviews were due almost solely to physical issues such as back light bleed and other things. So the question, is my monitor defective, simply incorrectly setup or just bad quality?
