So I have used the HDMI to connect to PS4 for a year now, worked no problem. Now i connect the HDMI cable and the monitor reacts like it gets a connection but there is no display. It keeps blinking like "here is me receiving signal, but I no show you anything".
What I have done is, Turn on PS4 first, then connect HDMI to monitor and still black screen.
I connected cable without turning on PS4 and then turn on and nothing. still black screen.
I now connected the cable first to PS4. At this moment the monitor shows "no signal on HDMI". I connect the cable to the monitor and it reacts (PS4 still off) and goes into the SAME black screen as the previous tries.
I tried just now connecting a laptop. same reaction as before when plug in. on the laptop i did the "show screen on projector" usually it shows but now i get "error, projector not found"
Monitor is a Samsung SycMaster 2493HM.
Using DVI works fine as it is connected to the PC and using the monitor to write this. It just turns black when switching to the HDMI source.
