Monitor Help? 3D V 2D? Refresh rate?

Hi,

Say I bought a 3D Monitor at 120/144Hz.
Can I disable 3D and use 2D like a normal monitor while using a 120Hz refresh rate?

So I mean can I game at Over 60Hz using 2D on a 3D monitor.

Yes, you can.
3D monitor has high refresh rate like the one you have. You can use the 3D like the regular 2D one in 60Hz or 120Hz, but why do you pay more buy the 3D monitor then use it in 2D? It is totally waste.

Well I don't have the monitor yet actually. Im asking because I want too game at 120hz no 3D. But if that don't work its a waste of money.
Only reason is that 120Hz monitors don't come in 2D only. But I want the high refresh rates.
