Title says all I need help. Will they be compatible? What cable should I get Dvi-d cable or dvi-I. I have read some of other threads but they are a bit confusing.....so try to keep confusion to a minimum
DVI-I port on video card just means it has DVI signal and VGA signal in the same port.
What is not compatible is using a DVI-to-VGA adapter on a DVI-D port.
You will be just fine connecting a DVI cable as the title says.

You''ll be fine using a DVI-D cable. Since your monitor does not have the four pins for the analog signal of the DVI-I graphics card output, you cannot connect a DVI-I cable to a DVI-D port.
