Question Monitor is getting no signal from my new pc

Apologies if this is a stupid question of if it's in the wrong place, but the pc I just built isn't getting a signal to my monitor. I have an RTX 2070, and I did connect the HDMI to the gpu. Despite this appearing like a basic issue, I can't solve it. Any tips? (I'm also on mobile atm so typing takes forever)

make sure the cables are connected tight make sure its on right input if you have a game system or cable box try that cable on it if it dosent work its your cable not a problum just replace the cable try connecting the pc to a diffrent display try connecting the monitor to a diffrent system to determin the problum
