After restarting my computer, everything seems to be running fine. It posts, hard drive is running and all fans are running, but the monitor does not display anything? The monitors light is on and so is its backlight. Usually i see the mobo information screen but i dont, not even the white blinking underscore?

Solution
I think it might be because your boot order was messed up. Your CD drive must have been set to be the first device to boot to, and since there was no disk it would not boot to anything. You can fix it by going into your BIOS and setting the primary hard drive as the first boot device in the boot order (it's a lot more simple than I'm making it sound).

Yes it was GIGABYTE GV-NX68256D GeForce 6800, its pretty old. I removed it and plugged the cable into the back of the case instead of the card. Still have the problem.

Ok, I think I have the solution. This worked for me a couple of years back when I had this same problem. Aparently in the BIOS there is a settings that changes the default video device. If for some reason this got changed to your onboard video instead of your graphics card it can cause problems. To fix it, simply unplug the power, and leave the video card in. Then look for the CMOS batter (small coin shaped battery on motherboard) and remove it. Let the battery sit out for about 2 - 4 minuets to allow for the bios to be reset (this will not harm your pc). Then put the battery back into the case, and restart the computer. It should now recognize the video card as the default device.

Thanks Ill give it a shot.

I plugged the graphics card back in and plugged the cables back into the graphics card. I took out the battery and waited 5-10 minutes and put it back into its holder. I plugged the power cable back in and flipped the switch on the powersupply and turned the pc on. No luck still have the problem.

You might just have a bad stick of ram. However, you said that it gets hung up on the load screen (although I'm not really sure what you meant when you said it asks your to hit TAB or DELETE, I've never seen a loading screen do that before). Could you take a picture of this screen and post it? it would help a bit.
