[SOLVED] Monitor issue

Solution
your graphics card could also be going bad, you never know.

At this point, if you say your adapter is fine and it's the cable then that's all there is to it I guess.
Buy another cable if you think that's what you need.
If you are connecting using the old school blue VGA connector then yes, you can have issues over time.
If your monitor and PC support other display connection types use those.
Basically digital rather than analog (VGA is analog, but most everything else is digital.)
Other options would be DVI and HDMI.
If your monitor uses VGA, then I will assume it's not new enough to support HDMI but will probably support DVI and if your PC has DVI support as well then use that.

It's possible that the cable you are using is going bad, but then again, it's also possible that the port on either the PC, the monitor or both are going bad and changing out the cable will do no good.

Honestly, DVI is better anyways, if you can do DVI then use that instead.

If switching over to DVI doesn't help, then either there is a problem with the monitor itself, or there's a problem with your graphics card (if you have one) or drivers for graphics.

At which point further troubleshooting and testing would be needed to determine and narrow down the actual cause of the issue.

You're correct, checked my monitor without inserting any cables, had no lines.
It is %100 cable. Thanks again
I had a gtx 980, using with HDMI adaptor
ah well, a GTX 980 with an adapter that adapts HDMI to VGA means that it could be one or more of the following:
The VGA cable used was bad (you can test this if your motherboard has a VGA output)
The VGA port on the monitor is bad.
The adapter is bad.
The HDMI port is bad (not likely at all) and/or HDMI cable is bad (if your adapter is external and needs an HDMI cable plugged into it, since adapting digital signals to analog signals usually requires an external unit that is powered with a wall plug because it's not just adapting the connectors but converting the digital signal into an analog signal, or the other way around which the fact that it's converting the signal from one type to another type can also be a problem in itself as devices that do this can often fail, at which point I am now referring you back up one option in the list about it being a bad adapter)

If your specific model of the GTX 980 comes with a DVI port on it, I suggest skipping the adapter thing and going straight to using a DVI cable (assuming your monitor supports DVI)
Otherwise, refer to my above possible reasons that you get bad image and narrow it down further, unless when you said it was the cable, you checked using a different cable, at which point I assume it's all good now?

Even though I've mentioned it multiple times you haven't confirmed anything with me and seem to be insistent on VGA connection which means I have to assume that your monitor is so old it only has VGA and nothing else.
More than buying some adapters and cables I highly recommend upgrading your monitor to something newer than what you currently have when you can get the money for it.

I would personally use the cable rather than the adapter. So out of those two options I would go with the second one.

It only has a VGA input , ıf i had the cash of course i would get a new one
Im happy with the display but thoose lines makes it look bad,
What i was thinking if i buy the second one, it could not be my hdmi translator which is faulty, but the vga cable, first one is a cable and a translator
