Monitor just broke Asus VH242H

Just started up a game and my monitor turned gray and flashy with lines going across it. I can't access the monitor menu as well. It seems that I can sometimes get the monitor to fix itself but it will break right after. Unfortunately I can't RMA with newegg because it has been 3 months since i bought it. Are there any suggestions (besides RMA with Asus) Like a fix or something to look for once I open it up.

Monitor works! kinda, I just have to whack the back of it and it works just fine, have not gamed on it or anything but it has been fine for 2-3 hours now (without turning off of course) when turned off or computer is restarted the same problem persists

Fixed itself after a week.... wtf
