Every time after I'm done playing a video game everything looks brighter for example discord in dark mode and windows in dark mode looks brighter, this goes away after some time but why does it do this.

I suppose that depends on what you are experiencing.

If you see a real difference that changes abruptly at some later date, you should check your GPU settings to see if there is any color or gamma correction happening.

If you are talking about a gradual change, that is probably just your eyes adjusting from either a very dark game or just that the default contrast/brightness of your desktop is significantly brighter then the game.

Some TVs will automatically detect gameplay and change their mode.

Would need a lot more detail about what you are talking about. If you can record it with a camera and see it, then it isn't your eyes.

I set my colors to full in nvidia control panel but it made my games look darker. But fixed the issue

Well nvm setting the colors to full didn't fix i had the same issue again where i played crysis 3 for 5 mins and still everything was brighter than usual, opening a really dark image fixes the issue tho.

Monitor settings set to dynamic contrast? Or anything similar?
I don't think its my monitor cause before i connected my monitor to my laptop and didn't face this issue.
someone told me this could an optical illusion but its not i played crysis 3 for like 3 mins and when i looked at discord and windows everything looked bright and when i opened display settings( its in full black causes of the dark mode) so it fixes the issue
it seems that looking at something that is full black fixes the issue for some reason.
