I recently changed my RX 580 with an RTX 2060 super, I made sure to check my power supply delivered enough power to handle the GPU. Recently I have had instances where the GPU fans speed up to 100% for no particular reason (it never happened while in-game, it always happens when im doing something light, like browsing web pages) so overheating is most likely not the issue. Then I got curious and decided to make the GPU fans run at 100% manually using MSI afterburner to see if the problem was the fans running at 100% in itself, or if something else was making the fans go that fast in the first place. And surely enough after manually making them run at 100%, the same thing happened, monitor looses signal and im forced to shut down the machine. Could it be A PSU malfunction that handles poorly such a drastic change in fan speed?
