Hey how's it going guys. I've been reading countless threads about this topic to no avail, so hopefully making my own about my exact situation might come through.

The problem I am having is that upon launching Windows 8.1, after the icon, before the login page, or even after I have logged in, my monitor will lose signal and not turn on now matter how much I mash my keyboard or move my mouse in attempts to wake it. This will always result in me having to hard-reset my PC by holding down the power button.

Instances of this problem have been happening for a while, but it's so prevalent now that my PC is unusable. I first noticed months ago that if my PC fell asleep, there would be the off chance that my monitor would not wake. However annoying this was, it still had no affect on me as after a restart my PC was running smoothly (This would happen maybe once a week or every week). Wind back to just a week or 2 ago, it would happen almost every other day and not turn on after a hard-restart, only after unplugging and plugging everything many times and restarting the PC many times it would start up. Now, it happens every boot-up after the Windows logo and will lose signal no matter what I do, or how many times I unplug everything.

Things I've tried doing:
-Factory Resetting the PC
-Unplugging power cables inside the PC
-Testing on multiple monitos with different ports (DVI, VGA, HDMI) to have it enter sleep mode again
-Turning off idle mode in preferences

After reading some articles, people concluded that it might be a PSU issue, which is what I am also thinking atm but want to make sure I explore all possible sources of error so I don't spend 250$ to have a new PSU come in and give me the same problems 🙁 Any help would be extremely appreciated, thanks guys!

To answer your questions, I never checked the BIOS and mobo drivers and now I can't even load my PC up, how do you propose I do this? Malware and virus free, and have done system and start up repairs. Windows system file check, again how do you propose I do this when I can't get past the loading screen?
