Monitor loses signal after Windows logo

Hi all

I'm dealing with a bizarre problem here, whenever I boot my computer after the Windows 8 spinning circle my monitor loses signal.

However, if I unplug the monitor (DVI) and plug it back in it works fine no issues. Same with HDMI.

To make matters worse the screen lost signal after UAC popped up when installing, I've since disabled UAC (I don't like it) and the problem no longer occurs.

So my question is, is it the monitor? or do I have some other problem?

Monitor: ASUS VS238H-P
VC: EVGA GTX 760 2GB (with latest Drivers)
Windows 8.1

When did this start, Has it occurred with other driver versions?

This is a newly installed version of Windows, so this is the only driver version it has had.
