Monitor making sound with new card

I'm posting this on the graphics card board because I think the problem must be with my card.

It didn't start right when I got my new Hercules Prophet II Pro, but lately when I run OpenGL applications my monitor makes a high-pitched sound... It only happens with OpenGL. When I'm in Windows, or playing a Direct3d game, it's fine...

I have a Sony CPD-420GS monitor that's a few months old. I've never had this problem until a few days ago...

Any suggestions?

Try setting your card to a lower frequency.

No, I haven't tried that...

Do you mean refresh rate? It's on Optimal now...

First, make sure your monitor has been properly deticted as a plug & play monitor. If it hasn't, set it that way in advanced display properties. If you still have the problem, try setting the refresh rate for adapter default.
