Question Monitor, Motherboard, and GPU Help!

Jul 20, 2019
This is my first PC and it has a problem where it won’t connect to the compatible monitor using a brand new DVI-D cord. It won’t show up on the monitor and the monitor simply displays “check signal cable”. The cord is running from my GPU to the monitor. I tried running an HDMI from the GPU to a tv but that didn’t work either.
I tried to diagnose the problem by reconnecting the wires and reconnecting the GPU, but that didn’t work either. Then I noticed on the motherboard that the debug led’s were flashing a long blink on the DRAM and a short blink on the CPU leds. This is all of my stuff - I’m pretty sure it’s compatible but I could easily be wrong since this is my first time building a computer. Please help!
